Hi! :-)

I live in a town in the east of Holland,an area with a river and a forrest close by.I live there together with my doggie Pico.
I started with photography in my high-school time (1970-1978).
Nature,and especialy birds have always been an important part of my life.
I started with digital photography in december 2005.
Before that time I used a variety of cameras but my last analogue camera was a Nikon F4S with several lenses but mainly a Novoflex 600mm,(manual focus and aperture only,and always hand-hold!!) I always made colour-slides and made some slide-presentations.
95% of my pictures I took with my Canon 30D with a 300/4 L IS USM+ 1,4 Extender.
For landscapes I use sometimes the Tamron 2,8/28-70.Most pictures are taken in Holland,mostly in my own garden and my direct environment.
I love being in nature and I especially like to make a portraits of common ,everyday birds.
I use my car and my scootmobile as a hide for bird photography,coz due to some physical handicaps I'm limited in my mobility.
I shoot in RAW.
I use PhoptoShop for improving (when necessary) my pictures: exposure/contrast/brightness/cropping /shadow-highlight /saturation and USM.No real manipulation.
If realy necessary a little cloning.
Sparrows are my most favorite birds!
