Since I was young, I have gravitated towards activities that required digging into my own creativity and exercising my artistic abilities. I started with drawing and moved to oil painting. I dabbled a bit in woodworking and sculpting and I also owned a life size doll making business in the early 80’s.

In 1970 I got my first camera and I have been passionate about photography ever since. I started out taking pictures of friends, then scenery, then back to people when I had three kids. I later discovered I enjoyed capturing close-ups of insects and flowers. I also became interested in birds and animals of all kinds. I especially like to capture them in action shots or doing something unusual. I have the patience of a saint and can wait all day for the right shots to come along.

Raised here in the Pacific Northwest, it’s no wonder that birds, wildlife and scenery top my list of favorite things to take photos of.

I am thankful and excited to share the many images I have captured and love, with others to enjoy.
