What is the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center?
The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center opened in 2009 with one mission: to honor Soldiers, both past and present. This state-of-the-art facility tells the story of the United States Army Infantryman, from the fields of the American Revolution to the sands of Afghanistan. This 190,000 square-foot museum houses an amazing display of artifacts from all eras of American history and contains numerous interactive multimedia exhibits, telling the story of our nation's past with the latest in technological innovation.
Also located inside the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center are:
• The Fife and Drum Restaurant and Bar, one of the premier dining establishments in Columbus, with Happy Hour every Friday night
• The Soldier Store, offering a variety of unique items to commemorate your visit or to serve as great gifts for your loved ones
• The EST2000 Rifle Range, which offers you the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shoot on the same rifle simulator that is currently used by the US Army to train our troops
• The IMAX Theatre at Patriot Park, which shows the best documentaries and the most immersive Hollywood films on the largest screen in the Southeast
What is Patriot Park?
The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center is part of Patriot Park, a growing complex of historic monuments, educational institutions and recreational areas, which also includes:
• World War II Company Street, a collection of buildings from Ft. Benning circa 1940 - including Gen. George S. Patton's quarters - with free tours offered daily
• Soldier Field, a 5-acre parade field with grandstands capable of seating 2,000+ guests, used for all Ft. Benning BCT & OSUT graduations
• Memorial Walk of Honor, a still-expanding collection of monuments to honor those who gave all for the cause of freedom
How much does admission cost?
There is a suggested $5.00 donation to help us preserve the legacy of the US Army Infantry.
The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center is owned and operated by the National Infantry Foundation, a private, non-profit organization. There is a separate cost to experience the Rifle Range and the IMAX Theatre at Patriot Park, with all proceeds from ticket and concession sales going to benefit the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center.
Thank you for helping us continue our mission!
