The National Academy of
Sciences' photostream
|
The National Academy of Sciences was chartered by Congress in 1863 to serve the nation as an independent adviser on science and technology matters.
As these matters grew in complexity and scope, the National Research Council, National Academy of Engineering, and Institute of Medicine were formed to help expand this work.
