Note on Lamprey: ( the Ever-So-Secret-Order-Of-The-Lamprey) Artists and people who think of themselves as non-artists get together bi-weekly for brunch, bacon bloody marys and other beverages, conversation and the "ever so secret" ceremony. There is a word of the (bi-)week, (most) everyone shows up with a piece somehow associated with that word. An adjudicator is chosen. People are called upon to speak about their piece, or opt to answer "I was thinking of the word when I made this", or "%&#*@ You! I did/didn't go to art school!" . Goofy awards with seriously goofy names are given. Finally, the adjudicator chooses the word for the next meeting, and the pieces are automaticly inducted into the lamprey archive. Its a fun way to socialize and keep the brain working.
There are are also "chapters" in Atlanta and Australia.
