I am pretty new to photography and digital cameras give me a chance to practice a lot more than the past. The idea of catching details in our lives is what inspires me to take pictures.

After collecting food pictures from my various travels, I have decided to use food as an anchored subject for practicing (both photography and writing). You are welcome to visit my food blog.

The only equipment I have are a Nikon D40 after the D50 was stolen (on the first day I moved to Brooklyn!), a 17-180mm lens, and two filters (bought only last week). I hope this is a start and I will learn to use more fancy equipment to help my pictures look nice. There is so much to learn about the techniques. Wish me luck!
