I had this disclaimer, about how I was documenting my life, in pictures. How I take pictures so I know what my history is. And my disclaimer pretty much explained that I never took these "flattering shots", because thats not what my pictures were about. It was about recording the events of my life, and the people in my life.

Up until now, I've had near 30,000 views on my flickr. People enjoy looking at my pictures. People enjoy knowing that there is some physical memory of actual events. And I've enjoyed allowing them to take a peek into my lives. Hell, I even allow people to deem my photographs their own because I know that they too understand my motives and actions. But then I've also been berated about how certain pictures of certain people are unpleasant. They've wanted me to delete their pictures, thus deleting them from our events, my life. That angers me. Photography isnt just about shallow appearances. For me, its about being there. To be there, is to recollect memories. Thats what my photography is about.

and sometimes, my pictures were there because you guys wanted them there. so i give up now.

"at first i didnt get your photographic vision but once i did i realized that youre an amazing photographer. you capture what happens, as unflattering as it might be. it is what it is, and you always represent that."
