"Kind and thoughtful, witty and sharp, Debora is that special breed of photographer that can do pitch perfect professional work one minute, and something immediate and personal that makes your heart pulse the next. She's definitely a keeper.
p.s. I regularly cull her favorites for inspiration."6th October, 2008

"I love perusing through Debora’s stream because it feels nice and easy, as if I were taking a road trip with my best friend through the back roads of the Southwest.
Looking at here pictures, occasionally, makes me imagine that I’m sitting at the local coffee shop enjoying a reinvigorating cup of joe or at a low-key cantina having a refreshing Tecate con limón y sal - just sitting there, saying nothing at all, reveling in opportunity to admire the rustic real look of the locals – no pretentious city folk, no wanna-bes, no fancy digs, nope, just me and my best buddy taking it easy, on the road again.
Thanks for bringing reality back to photography. Thanks for taking us along upon your wandering.
Lorenzo!

"i came upon deb or should i say she came upon me. i know her dear sister tracey and brother-in-law matt and was in cloudcroft last winter learning to use a new toy. i snapped a pic of high altitude, which is matt and tracey's beloved business and posted it on my stream. deb found it and introduced herself to me and we became flickr friends. in july i found out about tracey and her condition and offered all my support. deb and i became even closer and we met in cloudcroft on tracey's day. we both shot a lot of images that day, she did the people and i focused on the scenery. she is a dear friend and i consider her and of course her family as family of mine.
as for deb's work, what is there to say but WOW! she continually blows me away with her compositions and definitely her lighting. she did a series of portraits of her mom that left me speechless and scratching my head! her work makes you feel like you are right there with her experiencing the places and food she is shooting. i look forward to a day in the very near future when we can shoot together again. cheers deb!"9th October, 2007

"My photography has been my life's inspiration...and it lead me to Debora...who lead me to reality....about myself and my work....for you Debbie!
Road to Reality
Reality does not accept definition, dodging every label.
Reality can be challenged, though one can only win with bravery, dare you see your truth.
Reality is diverse, for anyone looking, there isn't a rule that can't be broken.
Reality is hated & loved, beautiful & tough.
Reality is often shrouded, with eyes that burn through the obscurity.
I am on the road to Reality, driving faster & faster, looking feverishly in my rear view, to see, squinting in the sun ahead, I think I see, then realizing it is not a destination...it is everywhere.
You can't run or hide. Reality is there even when you dream."29th September, 2006

"I am continually inspired and awed by the amazing photography of Debora, a friend I've never met. Her work can vary from delicate abstractions to detailed landscapes, from perfectly-lit still lifes to awe-inspiring portraits. She has been incredibly generous to me and everyone she comes in contact with, and her natural enthusiasm for creating memorable images propels me to do better and better. Stroll through her stream and prepare to be humbled, delighted and compelled to improve..."

Michaeldavid54 says:
"I asked Debora if I could write a testimonial for her last week and she was genuinely flattered and shocked that I would ask . I have put it off for sometime now, due to me being sick and also wanting it to be perfect. Well now is the time. I met Debora through Flickrs and I can honestly say , I have not had a better friend or teacher of Photography. She is in Texas and I am in Massachusetts, and we talk daily like a brother and sister. We are really great friends in Photography. Debora only recently picked up the camera again , since she was in college. She had a million dollar furniture business that was hit by some hard knocks one of which was a Texas flood and I will say quite selfishly, that I am glad it happened. It was the catalyst in her picking up her camera again, and changing her career. Now she is a professional. In my opinion nobody can take photos like Debora, or capture the beauty of silhouettes as she can. She will walk into the basement of an old mill with her camera. Then leave 30 minutes later, a camera filled with art.
Debora is a true talent, and we should watch for her published work some day soon. If she puts one tenth of the care and concern she has for me and my terminal disease and applies it to her art, The the world will see a true genius in Debora. Thank You Debora, I love you like a little sister. " www.realityphotog...""12th March, 2006
