Odie - Odysseus of the Doggie World's photostream  

Odie introduces himself:

-I'm the reason mommy got into photography.

-I'm the reason why people visit my mom's flickr page.

-I'm very special. If you don't believe me, ask mom.

-I'm a good traveling companion and I'm always ready for new adventures. I used to live in Detroit. My mom adopted me from Michigan Humane Society, and we traveled to Windsor, Canada. It certainly isn't a long way from Detroit to Windsor, but humans say it's a whole different country!

-We live in Montreal, Quebec now. I understand French better than my mom does. I'm a quick learner... when I want to be.

-I have seen pretty much everywhere in Ontario :) My parents took me to Niagara Falls once; I thought the noisy water was scary, but I met lots of other dogs on the way, so it was fun. In Toronto, I got on the subway. My mom said I was very well behaved and thanked me for that. However, my white fur became gray because of all the dust in the city, and mom had to give me a bath that day. I just love traveling. Car rides are so much fun. I even flew on a plane. Well, that wasn't as much fun, but I slept it off. I went to Istanbul, and let me tell you one thing: Turkish food is yummy!

Billie introduces herself:

- My previous family packed their bags and left... without me. I had to live outside for a while. Then my mommy noticed me and approached me. I'm shy with strangers at first, but she took it really slow and gained my trust. She also started to feed me, and boy, was I hungry at the time! I knew I belonged with her, so I began to sing Billie Holiday's "All of me. Why not take all of me?" with my best voice every time she came out to feed me. My mom's heart melted - she fell in love with me and my beautiful voice. She took me in and named me Billie.

- My nickname is Irma from "Irma La Douce."

- Odie didn't like me at first. OK, he hated me, but mom did a good job making sure I was safe during that time. Now, we get along well. I love teasing Odie, but he's a good sport lately.

- Meowwww... meowwww...purr... meeeeooowww... Yes, I like talking. If I want something, I meow. If I'm bored, I meow. If I'm in the mood for play, I meow. I can jump higher than Odie. I can climb trees, and Odie can't. Yeah yeah, he's cute - I'll give him that. Eeeverybody loves Odie... But my mommy adores me; she thinks I'm smart and beautiful and I really am. So there!
