The Museum of Making Music presents visitors with the past century of American popular music—from John Philip Sousa and Louis Armstrong to Elvis Presley and the Beach Boys—and the instrument innovations that helped shape music making from the 1890s to the present day.

The Museum features over 500 vintage instruments on display, a variety of audio and video samples at the touch of a button and a unique interactive area with over a dozen hands-on instruments that guests can play.

The Museum also regularly presents a variety of special performances, educational workshops and entertaining family activities.

The Museum of Making Music is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM - 5 PM. The Museum is closed on Mondays and on several national holidays including New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Admission is $7; $5 for students, seniors and active military members. Children 5 and under receive free admission.

For more information, please visit the Museum's website or call (760) 438-5996.
