The history of health care is the history of people, and the Museum of Health Care and its collection tell the stories of our lives. The Museum strives to connect visitors with the experience of people from earlier periods and provide context and perspective on today’s health issues.

To help Canadians better understand this history, the Museum preserves and promotes our medical and health care past. We serve the general public, practitioners, students, and historians through exhibitions, interpretive programs, and special events throughout the year.

The Museum is located in the Ann Baillie Building National Historic Site, a former residence for student nurses built in 1904, on the grounds of Kingston General Hospital. During the summer months, the Museum provides a wide range of interpretive services for our visitors, including guided walking tours of the Kingston General Hospital National Historic Site.
