In the early '70s i did 35mm B&W photography, rolling film & printing in my parents (pretty good) darkroom. I sort of fell out of photography, but in 2004 got back into it through. I have a Canon MiniDV videocam, followed by my first digicam, a Canon G6 from CraigsList. The videocam was supposed to be for windsurfing & skiing. The scope of video usage seems to have expanded into waterbirds as a result of regular visitations to the Outer Banks in NC. I've gotten quite a bit of waterbird footage, with the egrets mostly blown out by a little bit.

Since originally joining Flickr, i've gotten a Canon XSi, and a bird lens.

Since getting the bird lens, my photostream has gravitated toward predominately shorebirds - despite the fact that i earlier wrote: "I see myself getting more into HDR, twilight photos with balance of artificial to natural light, a little bit of strobist, & probably some light trail type of stuff."
