Artist’s Statement:

Visual art is one of many forms of representing my search for the user’s manual for the human mind, so to speak. For me the visual creation works through personal symbols and the process is guided by intuition or instinct. “It” happens and manifests itself as visual objects.

When I’m working, I put stuff in and take stuff out until I know it’s finished. This process of structuring the image is often somewhat unconscious but later on I can clearly see how it was a precise documentation of my internal state at that time.

Afterwards I can also see traces of ideas, realizations and often ‘blind spots’ which hadn’t yet reached the conscious level. This gives me insights to better understand myself and therefore people in general. I’m also interested how others reflect themselves through these mirrors.
