I'm a Swiss/Canadian and live in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. After working in the public service sector for 23 years I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis (auto-immune disease). For the second time in my life (1st time 1989 broke my back) I had to drastically change my life style!! I'm currently (hopefully not permanently) on a medical disability pension. As always in life, though, there is a silver lining. I rediscovered my passion for photography!! In another lifetime it seems, I had a 35mm but work, life, and restricted finances prevented me from really getting into it. In 2005 I purchased a digital point and shot digital camera, and was absolutely amazed by digital technology. In the Fall of 2006 I took a introductory evening school course and by class #3, I showed up with my new Sony Alpha DSLR. Photography is not only serving as a source of creative outlet, but it also motivates me to keep moving. It has kindled a renewed interest for life and to look out for the beauty of it. I've always led an active life and I guess some people would call me a bit of a dare devil, with skydiving as one of my earlier sports. Obviously those days are gone but I find that photography allows me to explore different challenges Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and I hope you like my pictures.
