My father gave me my first camera, a Brownie Holiday model. I took hundreds of b&w photos with it; wish I still had them! I learned basic b&w film processing and printing while in high school. Family and career intervened, and so I gave up photography for several decades. I took it back up a few years ago, as digital photography has greatly reduced the time, effort, and expense of this avocation.
