Photography is a moment in time that has stopped forever.
I use this moment to tell a story, share feelings and mood, tell about people I meet.
I take photographs.

Photography allows me to observe the world around me more carefully, meet interesting people, see places I would never go to and participate in events I never would otherwise.
Photography makes me see differently, look further, imagine, think, observe, listen and tell.
I use photographs to tell a story.

I live and work in Riga, Latvia.
Photography is my hobby that occupies almost all of my free time and sometimes even more. Maybe it will sound strange but I do not want to change my life and start making full living from photography. I don't want to kill the joy that photography gives me.

Photography came into my world around 2003 - 2004 and until now there hasn’t been a single moment in my life when I would regret that. I enjoy every second I spend taking photographs, learning and developing my vision.
In photography there is never a point when you can say "I know everything - I can everything". In photography there always is something to see, learn and experiment. That makes photography interesting.

And last and most important - photography creates joy. For me the highest moment is when I see joy and happiness in people's eyes when they look at my photographs and they like and admire them. It creates a fantastic feeling. This is what super-charges my inner batteries and makes me take my camera and continue to work.

In photography I have few areas that I enjoy more than others:

People - in portraits I show people's feelings, emotions and the story they want to tell to the rest of the world.

Music - I capture rhythm, beat, lights, sound, silence and the energy that comes from the stage towards the crowd.

Sports - Competition, action, emotions, winning and loosing, athletes fighting with themselves.

Events - It does not matter what kind of or how large the event is - an event has a story with a beginning and an end.

The World - our world is full of colors, shapes, forms, lines and light. I use all those elements to create photographs that reflect The World around me - from landscapes to tiny little details.


Photography is my hobby but that automatically does not mean that I will say "No" if you ask me to photograph something for you!
