I'm Jack and I'm 19 and I study Photography and Film at Edinburgh Napier University. My interests include photography, computing and cars amongst other technical oriented vocations.

I've had a interest in photography for a while, but not in a sort "I popped out of my mother's womb, and declared immediately that I was born to take photos". My dad always had a camera which he would take on holiday, but it wasn't really a great combination because 1. He would usually forget it and 2. He wasn't exactly zealous with the photo taking.

Therefore, I always thought I could do better, so I started of humbly with a bog standard Canon point-and-shoot, and now shoot with a lovely Canon EOS 500D DSLR. I use the kit-lens (Canon EF-S 18-55mm), a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 and a Canon EF-S 55-250mm.

I've been lucky enough to win some photography competitions for my work, including the Glasgow Heritage Trust "Looking Up" competition in 2008. And a few years ago I was shortlisted for the Cat's Protection League Photography Competition, and was subsequently featured in print as part of their advertising campaign.

My current camera inventory consists of a Canon EOS 500D, Diana F+, Lomo LC-Wide, Praktica MTL3 and a Franka Solida Jr.
