The censorship that appeared some days ago on Flickr slammed me as a bolt from the blue. I'm on Flickr from few time and I'm only an amatorial photographer, I don't play to be good, but I was very getting on fire about this wonderful community of photographers. I already had some friends, a few but very good, as Silje for example.
I didn't had posted most of my photos, for several reasons. Most of them are not digital (some done with an old reflex minolta and others with other disposable machines) and beside the fact I have not a scanner I had to ask for it for every photo to Vlad. Then, in this period I don't have a lot of chances 'cause I use a Canon PowerShot A85 shared with Olandesina that now is in Holland for work. I take photo when I go to meet her or when she come to meet me. For these reasons I'm going to buy a Canon Digital Rebel Xti and I was going to become “pro” on Flickr, even because I ran out the number of set allowed for a free account (3).
I was: though I was not censored I decided to not give my money to whom unfairly censor anyone. So I'm moving to Ipernity, recommended me by MadMelon, as part of my fight against Flickr's censorsphip. But I will not leave Flickr for some reasons: here I have my few contacts and I can't do without them, for their advices and for their beautiful photos: I don't want to lose the honor of commenting and enjoy them. But, most of all, I will not leave Flickr because you can not escape in front of iniquity, or soon all of your rights will be trodded on and stolen.
In other words, I will keep posting my pics on Flickr, but in reduced size only. On every photo will appear a logo against censorship and beside a link to my welcome page on Ipernity, where I will maintain update the claim against Flickr and where I will be happy to host all the signallings, advices, outlets about it coming from everyone. On Ipernity will be also available my pics with original size.

La censura comparsa qualche giorno fa su Flickr mi ha colpito come un fulmine a ciel sereno. Io sono da poco su Flickr e faccio foto a un livello molto amatoriale, ma mi stavo veramente appassionando a questa splendida comunità di fotografi. Avevo già qualche amico, pochi ma molto buoni, come Silje per esempio.
Non avevo ancora postato la maggior parte delle mie fotografie, per diverse ragioni. Molte di esse non sono in formato digitale (alcune fatte con una vecchia reflex minolta e altre con macchine usa e getta) e non avendo uno scanner ho dovuto chiederlo in prestito a Vlad per ogni foto. In questo periodo poi non ho la possibilità di fare molte foto: uso una Canon PowerShot A85 in condivisione con olandesina che però al momento è in Olanda per lavoro. Faccio foto quando vado a trovarla o quando lei viene a trovare me. Per questi motivi sto per acquistare una Canon 400D e stavo per passare a pro su Flickr, anche perché ho esaurito il numero di set possibili per un free account (3).
Stavo: pur non essendo io oggetto di censura ho deciso che non darò i miei soldi a chi la applica ingiustamente. Così mi sto trasferendo a Ipernity, segnalatomi da MadMelon, come forma di protesta contro la censura in Flickr. Ma non lascerò Flickr per molti motivi: qui ho i miei pochi contatti e non posso fare a meno di loro, per i loro consigli e perchè fanno bellissime foto e non voglio perdere l'onore di poterle commentare e condividere. Ma soprattutto non lascerò Flickr perché non si può fuggire di fronte a un sopruso, o presto tutti i nostri diritti saranno calpestati.
In altre parole, continuerò a postare le mie foto su Flickr, ma in formato ridotto. Su ogni foto comparirà ben visibile un'icona contro la censura e un link alla mia pagina di benvenuto su Ipernity, dove terrò aggiornata la protesta contro Flickr e dove sarò felice di ospitare tutte le segnalazioni, consigli, sfoghi riguardo a essa da parte di ognuno. Su Ipernity saranno anche disponibili le mie foto a grandezza originale.
