I am a retired professor of international relations and political science from Bucknell University. I enjoy hiking, skiing, tennis, swimming, snowstorms, mountains, traveling, socializing, family, my grandchildren, gardening, wildlife, art, sports, reading and photography. I am an explorer and adventurer, and have traveled to 82 countries, hopefully with many more to come.

My aunt and uncle were well known photographers who traveled the world, and they kindled my interest in photography and global wandering..

I am not interested in the technical aspect of photography. I use simple cameras, in the digital period, a Canon powershot. I take photographs to describe the cultural, natural, aesthetic and personal aspectsof my travels. I try to find beautiful scenery and interesting people and cultures and to represent them in my photos. As a result, I include in my public photos, some pictures that may not be technically perfect, but represent experiences meaningful to me.

I enjoy looking at the photos of other people to learn about their experiences and perspectives, and I hope that people will enjoy and learn something about our world from observing my photos.
