Josh Leventhal began hiking the Southern Appalachian Mountains just a few years ago and has covered a lot of ground in that time. Actually, backpacking is what got him interested in photography. “I wanted to share what I was seeing with others who might never be able to make the trip”.
Josh so enjoys being able to pack up and hike to any summit he pleases, that he is a strong supporter of various non-profit groups that help preserve the lands he loves. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of his work goes to “Friends of the Smokies”. “It’s important to me to give back. I’m grateful that someone before me found a way to preserve the land and offer it to the public to enjoy. I am glad to help support the groups that fight to keep the parks open.”
Josh, along with his wife, Kesha, and son, Draven, make their home high atop a mountain (go figure) in Maryville, TN.
