El Sylvan's photostream  

Sylvan is a species of mammal native to the mountains of Southwest Virginia. He begins life in the most southwestern area of the state and moves north into the Blueridge area during adolescence. In early adulthood, Sylvan has recently migrated to the Pacific Northwest. He has a strong preference for hoppy beers, spicy foods, the outdoors, and good music. Although fairly docile, if bothered Sylvan may warn with a hiss!

I'm also an electrical engineer currently living in Bend, Oregon and working for a solar inverter company. Photography is an old hobby of mine. I spent a lot of time in the darkroom in my early youth doing black and white 35mm, medium format, and large format photography. I mostly stopped photography until I bought a Canon 5MP P+S a couple years ago. I've just upgraded to a Canon 30D and I'm excited to see if I can redevelop my old eye and skills.
