Mossling's photostream |

Woefully, it is becoming less true for me to claim to be a fully operational pirate, despite the outfit... I am apparently too much of a lady. So I had to go and buy a ball gown to match... my life is so hard... :-p

Actually, I am a young student, living in London (as I have been doing my entire life, so no change there), attempting to balance uni study, photography, private study, my boyfriend, friends, our parties, hobbies and personal time. Far more difficult than it sounds... google calendar is my friend!
I will not touch photoshop. Not even with a bargepole. Stop handing me that bargepole. It's just not going to happen.
However, in light of the no-touchy-photoshoppy, I am kind of a little bit up for collaborations with people who do use it to do amazing things. Maybe. Message me :)
I use a Canon 400D with Canon standard lens (EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6), Canon EFS 75-300mm f/1.4-5.6, Canon 28-200 f/3.5-5.6 USM Lens and a Sigma 24-135mm f2.8-4.5 aspherical IF lens. My 28-200mm is my baby... I love it so! Not a massive camera geek though, I'm afraid. If it does what I want (exactly what I want) I'm happy. I also do a lot of film 35mm B&W stuff etc; but that rarely makes it to flickr as I have no idea how to use my scanner. I am full of computer technical fail :(
My background is in darkroom photography, but I have been shooting in digital since 2004; I got my first Canon DSLR early 2007 and I love it. I do not process my photos, they all come straight from the camera. A lot of time goes into my set ups, which is the way I personally prefer to capture my photos.
My photographs are my diary. I have a photograph of myself when I was 5, making a sandcastle and I can remember that *exact* moment. I think i have pretty decent visual memory recall :D
Other than photography...
I have a massive, irrational, utterly consuming phobia of hand puppets; they make me cry. I love gloves however; I made a song with a friend that basically goes: “Gloves gloves gloves, they make me want to rape people, la la, oooh sha la!”. And it's true. "Dregs” is my favorite word and when I was a child I wanted to grow up to be a fairy, until my mother told me that to do that I would have to be male and gay. Fail.
I love creative criticism; please do comment on my stream.
However, if you post abuse or unpleasant (read: pervy) comments, I will remove them and block you. Immediately. My images are not your wank fodder.
So... Come on in, the water's kind of lukewarm and murky...

JenniPenni says:
"The lovely Lily Moss. There's just something about her, don't you agree? If you do, shouldn't you also share my opinion that that 'something' is very evident in her photography?
Her portraits are great. They catch your attention, there's something deeper than what you were expecting to experience just by looking at a picture. For me, I think it is the raw sensuality, deeper sense of feminity and something very primitive about what it is to be a woman.
I also admire the fact that she produces great pictures straight from the camera where as most people wouldn't upload a picture without getting it through their processing program first.
I think one of her biggest strengths is capturing a moment just the way it is, just as she captures a feeling or an atmosphere...not a talent all photographers have in my opinion. In short, she's a brilliant person with something unique to share. I recommend you to add her as your contact."3rd December, 2008

beast love says:
"Miss Mossling has a great eye for setting up shots that compliment her subject's looks and appearance, with a great friendly attitude on top of that. I admire her desire to making the flickr community a place for discussion, rather than just quick short comments with no real thought put into them."
