When I was 5 or 6, I got my very first camera: a micro-sized red and yellow camera complete with a fold-up viewfinder. From then on, every time I was at the store, I would beg my mom to buy more Kodak 110 film for that little camera. Eventually, my grandfather taught me the art of manual film developing in his darkroom.
Photography is a lot more to me than just cameras. It’s about the experience: the story told by the photo, or the personality of the person in the photo. I don’t want to simply take pictures, I want to make photographs that will last a lifetime and will speak to who the person was.
