Teacher and amateur photographer.

I have been interested in photography since grade school but didn't get my first decent camera until I graduated from university. I am an amateur but I have done some wedding and portrait work for family and friends. After years of using Pentax and Minolta SLRs I went digital in the form of a Pentax Optio 33L

Christmas 2005 (I must have been a good boy that year) my wife Annette gave me a Pentax *istDL allowing me to use my old Pentax lenses again. Since then I have gotten a K20D which acts as my primary camera but still use a DL quite a lot. (also owned a *istDS and a K10D)

Flickr has added a new dimension to our photography (myself and my wife anewfie36 ), we are totally enjoying the experience.

I was probably more of a camera-buff than a photographer but I plan to continue practicing this hobby, and maybe someday I will get it right. My focus (pardon the pun) has shifted much more to the image rather than the equipment used to get it. Great images come from the mind of the photographer not the contents of his camera bag.
