montage sauvage, das sind die VJ-Herzbuben. Hinter dem Pseudonym steht ein Künstlerquartett mit Schwerpunkt Live-Videokunst, Club-Visuals und Party. Aktiv seit 2005, hauptsächlich in Graz und Rest-Österreich, immer wieder auch internationale Einsätze ('09 Tallinn / '08: New York / '07: Oslo, Köln / '06: Shanghai). Wahrscheinlicher Weltrekordhalter für VJing unter Extrembedingungen: Am Salzburger Gletscher Kitzsteinhorn, 2.800 Meter über dem Meer, bei minus 25 Grad und dichtem Schneetreiben. Normalerweise Auftritte in Clubs mit elektronischer Musik, diverse Ausstellungsarbeiten und Nebenprojekte.

Die Visuals von montage sauvage verschmelzen Mini-Movies mit 3D-Objekten und Grafikanimation. Kantig, körnig und konkret: Alles wird bei montage sauvage mit "wilden Schnitten" verbunden.

montage sauvage is an Austrian VJ collective, focused on video art, club visuals and party. Founded in 2005, the collective had a steady presence in Austrian clubs with some international action ('09 Tallinn / '08: New York / '07: Oslo, Cologne / '06: Shanghai). Most probably montage sauvage are the world record holders for vjing under extreme conditions: On Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, 2,800 meters above sea level, at -25°C and heavy snowfall, only "wild cuts" can keep the party from freezing.

The four members have developed different approaches to vjing, which they merge at their performances in clubs, installations and side projects. Narrative elements and found footage connect with 3D-objects and graphic animation. Square, skew and squashed: Anything is combined with their "montage sauvage".
