Artist Statement
My work is an awareness of art as a language that communicates the ineffable; a transmutation of ideas and states of being that are indefinable in their existence and yet unavoidable in their influence. The five formal elements of art thus become part of an alchemical process tinged with ritual and steeped in symbolism that follows the Hermetic maxim of "as above, so below" in hopes of achieving some brief ephemeral glimpse of transcendence.
