I have way too many cats. I'm a part-time urban hermit, an artist and poet, wife, mom and grandma. I was born in 1950 and am happily stuck in the 60s and 70s. I live in a 1963 California ranch home with Oriental architectural touches in Orlando, Florida. I love Mid-Century modern art, design & furnishings, especially Danish Modern and other Scandinavian ergonomic/modern design. My favorite furniture designer is George Nakashima. My favorite hanga (woodblock print) artist is Kiyoshi Saito. My favorite living illustrator is Tadahiro Uesugi. My favorite potter is Shoji Hamada. My favorite living painter and haiku-mentor is the poet/artist Susumu Takiguchi, my good friend and former colleague through the World Haiku Club and World Haiku Review. I write poetry in Japanese genres. (Maybe I should be living in Japan?:^D)

I'll upload pix of my home, furnishings, thrift store finds, Orlando MCM and atomic architecture soon, I hope, on my flickr playroom.

I'm Female and Taken.
