I'm 58 years of age, with little knowledge of PC's and teach myself along the lines. Please note that I'm a working woman, not having too much time to waste, so I don't joint INVITE ONLY groups as well as groups who have to many rules they demand to be followed. If the rule is not next to the group-icon when I send the picture to that group and I get an unpleasant mail telling me my picture was removed because I did not apply with the rule, I leave that group! There are too many groups, to remember all the rules by head, specially when you get older!
I also don't make people my contacts who have no or only few pictures for a long time posted, because I do check my contacts picture every time and don't want to see the same picture of contacts for too long! People who's stream I visit on often and who don't bother to recipocate, I also take from my list of contacts!
