Mon@rch's photostream
|

I have 18 years of experience in the Environmental Education and Field Biologist field. I received my bird banding permit in 1998, became a certified bird bander by the North American Banding Council in the fall of 2003, currently the crew leader for a Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) station; Principal Investigator in looking at the changing butterfly fauna in Allegany State Park, NY and the status and ecology of the Northern Saw-whet Owl in Allegany State Park, NY.
I love viewing photographs of all kinds and most of my pictures are uploaded on flickr for use of my blog (see link below)!

"Fall of 2006 is when I came to know Tom. Tom has a very interesting job and he loves it too. The way he shares his hobby and his work with the flickr community is very colorful. His photostream is full of wildlife that is always around us, but is seen only by people like Tom.
Thank you for sharing your passion with us!"16th July, 2007

"Tom was one of my very first contacts here at Flickr and quickly became a friend.
He shares his passion for nature with us thru his wonderful photos and his informative notes and comments. Not to mention his nature blog which is always a fun read.
I’ve enjoyed his stream from day one and have learned so much about all the critters I see and love. I’ve also learned that Tom’s heart is just as great as his photos.
Thanks for sharing yourself, your images and your knowledge Tom!"20th February, 2007

Bird Mom says:
"Tom is an awesome photographer.
He takes a large variety of nature pictures.
Not only does he take wonderful pictures, he also puts so
much feeling into the writing of each photo.
Tom does a lot of volunteer work in his area.
He volunteers to work with both, Adults and Children.
I have had the honor of meeting and working with Tom.
He's as kind in person, as he is on flickr.
Not only is he a true "FLICKR NUT", he is also a true friend.
Thanks for being such a wonderful flickr friend!
Tom - All I can say is...
BRAVO!"5th October, 2006

"I just adore Tom! His love of nature shows so nicely in his pictures, and seeing them makes my soul sing. He's one of the most interesting people I've "met" on flickr, and I would feel so honored to meet him in person someday. I always think of him when I see butterflies. Keep up the wonderful work, Tom!"

"Tom certainly has provided not only some amazing photos of his own to Flickr, but has also provided some great comments on my photos including many of my insect photos. I've posted some of his photos to my Favorites and he has done the exact same with some of my photos, also. :-)"

"Easy access to Mon@rch's photostream is a must for any nature lover. Through his eyes you will get a view that is hard to find elsewhere and is hard to duplicate. But you will learn something about his photo subjects as well. Sit back and relax. This is the funnest science class you will ever have!"

"It is a great deal of fun taking my daily walk through Mon@rch's photostream. I don't have easy access to a state park so it is nice to have an online link to Tom's park. It's like having a state park right in my own home. He is so kind to share with us his vast knowledge of the plant and animal worlds. Keep snappin', flickr friend! :)"
