Organized in 1969, the Minnesota Genealogical Society (MGS) is a non-profit, volunteer-run, educational organization that:
* Fosters interest in genealogy among people interested in family, state, and local history.
* Collections. preserves, and publishes genealogical and historical records to increase successful research.
* Educates members through programs, classes, and workshops.
