I am originally from Chicago IL, moved to Houston TX for 17 years then to the wilds of West Texas. I live outside Fort Davis, in the Davis Mountains. My house (location) was one of the sites of the Davis Mountain Hummingbird Festival for 9 years. 15 of the 18 hummingbird species seen in Texas have been seen in my backyard. Hence, all the hummingbird photos! I publish newsletters for a living and go out and photograph whenever I get a chance. I am very much a beginner!
