I was 10 years old when John F. Kennedy was shot.
I was 15 years old when Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy were shot.
I was 16 years old when Woodstock happened, and the first man walked on the moon.
I was 20 years old when the first Arab Oil Embargo occurred.
I was 21 when Richard Nixon resigned as President.
And I was 55 when the second non-WASP, first African-American was elected and inaugurated President of the United States.

I am married with two children currently 3 and 4 years old.

I started taking pictures with a Canon TX-1, and AE-1P in the mid 1980's. I switched to Nikon when the N8008 came out and later added two F4s's to my film system.

Started shooting digital with a compact camera we received as a present prior to the arrival of our first daughter, while still shooting 35mm film. Then in 2006 I moved up to a DSLR adding a Nikon D200, then in Dec 2007 I added a D300, and in Aug of 2008 I added a D700 not long after it came out, and this past August I added a second D700 to my system. I still have but rarely use the D200 and D300.

I was born and raised in Mechanicsburg PA about 90 miles north of where I currantly live in Harpers Ferry, WV. This is just like where I grew up. I am most interested in shooting in West Virginia. Having moved here in 2002, and traved once to the North Fork area staying in the North Fork Mountain Inn B&B. That area is stunning and I really want to concentrate on the Dolly Sods, Blackwater, Seneca Rocks, Smoke Hole, and Canaan Valley areas, while looking to add more to this list. I also would like to get involved in land use and conservation photography, such as Mountaintop Removal coal mining, and the PATH power lines.

I enjoy taking pictures of people, children, water, mountains, flowers, wildlife, and much more.

I also appreciate many styles of photography that I do not shoot, and enjoy studying all styles of photography to learn as there is alway more to learn...
