Sittin' on the Stairs by ~*Mizu <3*~

Hi there! My name is Morgan, but I also go by Mizu (or Meghan, if you happen to be my friend Freddy), which means water in Japanese. That's my nickname among those who play dance games, such as Dance Dance Revolution and In The Groove. Playing dance games is one of my favorite hobbies, so expect plenty of pictures/videos on here related to it. I also enjoy singing, editing music, messing around on the piano (yes, I'm a very musical person), hanging out with friends (who doesn't?), worshiping God, and, of course, taking pictures. My favorite color is purple. I'm also homeschooled and have been my whole life. :)
I've caught the macro mania syndrome from my sister, so my photostream will probably consist mostly of close-up shots. I also enjoy taking pictures of random things at awesome angles. I'm trying to get some more self-portraits to upload, but I have a problem with making good faces. D:
I'm still new to the photographic world, but I hope to entertain and inspire others with my pictures. If you like my photostream, please share it with others. Comments and contacts are greatly appreciated. :D
Enjoy! <3

Nikki the Nikon by ~*Mizu <3*~

Hello fellow cameras and cameramen/women! My name is Nicole, but you can call me Nikki for short. I'm a Nikon Coolpix S570 and Mizu's first personal digital camera. From the amount of time she spends with me, I can only guess that she loves me a lot. Do I love her back? Well, I dunno... I'm a camera... am I supposed to have feelings?
Anyway, back to the point.
My brain, or as you may call it, my memory card, is a PNY Optima 4 GB SD card. Pretty fancy, huh? Since I'm the organized sort, I like to create a folder within my memory every time Mizu hits the 200 picture mark. She finds it annoying and pointless, but whatever. I can't help but follow my instincts... er, programming.
My heart, also known as my battery, is a lithium ion battery that came with me in my neat little shiny package. How thoughtful of Nikon to send my heart along with me so Mizu wouldn't have to bother with the emotional act of finding me a heart herself.
I do miss my fellow camera and manufacturing friends at Nikon, mind you, but I'm quite content with living with Mizu instead of sitting in my stuffy box on a shelf somewhere. I like having a purpose... it makes me feel human.
I like to greet Mizu with a cute little bling sound whenever she awakens me, since I can't speak English. Luckily, I think she can understand what I'm trying to say whenever I speak to her in Cameraish. Sometimes she takes advantage of the sound settings that Nikon installed in me and mutes my kind greeting, along with whatever I could have told her while she uses me. Now why would she do that? How rude!
I have plenty of color and image modes for Mizu to choose from when she practices her photographic skills, and plenty of options for her to reduce blurriness and such. Sometimes, when I get into a certain mood, which commonly occurs when I'm feeling tired (you would call that low battery), I can't help but rebel against these settings and refuse to give Mizu sharp pictures. I'm well aware of how frustrating it is, but how else is she supposed to know that I need a nap? I can't tell her unless I get dangerously tired, and by that time, she would have probably let me sleep anyway. Sharpening pictures is tiring.
As you might already know, Mizu suffers from macro mania syndrome. Symptoms of this highly contagious disease include uncontrollable close-up photo taking and occasional constant streams of ideas for macros. Unfortunately, this condition is my worst enemy. I can manage macros just fine... to a certain extent. Once I get within half an inch of a subject, I'm done. I just can't focus that close. Gosh, doesn't Mizu know that I'm far-sighted?
Well, that's about all I have to say for now. Enjoy my cool pics! Haha, get it? Cool pics, and I'm a Coolpix? Yeah, okay, whatevs.
