Hi! I'm Mitchell - I'm still getting the hang of Flickr, but I love the endless amount of unique photos and artistic personalities this site has to offer. I live on Peaks Island (part of Portland), Maine. I go to Monhegan Island for an extended period of time at least once a year. I go to school at Ithaca College, New York. Each of those three places has its own photogenic and mesmerizing quality.

I've been using my Nikkormat camera and 35 mm black and white film for about a year and a half now. I've been using Photoshop for slightly less; but I only really use the program to play around with contrast and remove dust/scratches/stains from negatives. I develop and scan the photos myself at Ithaca College.

To be honest, I'm more of a filmmaker, and I still have a ways to go in becoming a *good* photographer. I've been working on a photography project where I take a picture of one different person per day. It could be someone I've known my whole life, or someone I just met that day. I recently passed my five hundredth day of the project! It's incredibly fun.
