Wife, mother, sister, friend, ............ and guardian of nature.
My original group of 3 Border Collie dogs is now down to 2, and my Molly and Duke are ageing rapidly.
UPDATE: On Tuesday, 3 May, 2011, my Molly had a seizure/stroke, and passed on with the help of the vet. We were with her to her last breath, and her last heartbeat, ...... and that is all I can say about that. *July 16th. It has been almost 3 months since Molly died, and I cannot begin to explain to anyone how much I miss her by my side.
I landed on this planet in 1950, .... June 17th, to be precise.
My interests include cycling, hiking, swimming, reading.
I am a self-taught, SLR/DSLR creative photographer.
Thank you for any interest in my photos.

"A good way to break the grip of an idea that controls the way you see and photograph is to pretend that it doesn't exist. You must break the rules."
............ Freeman Patterson,;.... 'Photography and the Art of Seeing'....
......... Dec. 21, 2009: I just read this on another Flickr members page: * flickr EXPLORE: i don't sweat about it. if my pics get there, i suppose it's cool, but i wouldn't know about it, unless someone tells me.* :
----------------Personally, I have determined from reading many posts, etc. about Explore that it is more about networking than anything else. If you have many, many contacts that you post to, and they recipocrate on a regular basis, your photos will end up in Explore. Only a couple of my photos that made Explore are what I would consider "good shots" .............. the others were just snapshots that got a lot of comments.
*updated 26 January, 2010 :
"Musicians practice constantly; most photographers do not practice enough. The siren-call of the hobby obscures the necessary exactions of art. It is easy to take a photograph, but it is harder to make a masterpiece in photography than in any other art medium." Ansel Adams, An Autobiography.

"I've observed lynda's photostream for some time. Every time I see one of her images I'm amazed by the way she looks at the things around her and and composes her shots into excellent pieces of photography. Lynda has a delightful sense of humor that shows up in many of her photographs, enhancing their visual pleasure even more. She's modest about her talent and will tell you that she's really just learning to shoot. From what I've seen of her images on Flickr over the past few years, I can tell you she has a trained eye and a gift for composition. I enjoy our repartee as we exchange comments. Her photographs have an appeal that soothes the emotion and brings a little chuckle into your life. Great work lynda keep on shooting!"
