Mississippi HeARTS Against AIDS is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization. The annual benefit at Hal & Mal's is the largest fundraiser in Mississippi for HIV/AIDS related issues.

SAVE THE DATE: The 19th annual Mississippi HeARTS benefit will be held Saturday, February 12th, 2011 at Hal & Mal’s at 6pm. The benefit is a huge live and silent auction of Mississippi's best known artists with live entertainment and a great variety of cuisine catered by dozens of local restaurants. Taking over Hal & Mal's for one night every year, it becomes a Valentine's Wonderland of art, food and music!

Many well-known artists faithfully donate works for the auction including Lea Barton, Anthony DiFatta, William Dunlap, Lucy Mazzaferro, and H.C. Porter. Last year more than 300 donations were made. The art includes paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, and pottery in a broad range of styles and prices. Dozens of local restaurants cater the event and there will be live music before and during the auctions.

DONOR ARTISTS for 2011 Mississippi HeARTS at Hal & Mal's Info:
*Every artist who donates artwork to Mississippi HeARTS at Hal & Mal's 2011 benefit will be given 2 comp tickets to the Feb. 12th event ($70 value);
*The artist and a guest will also be invited to the "Donor Appreciation Party" at The Cedars in Fondren on January 22, 2011.
*Every artist will be allowed to receive a commission back on the artwork they donate. If the art is put in the silent auction, you may ask for up to 25% of the sale price. If the art is in the live auction, you may ask for up to 40% of the sale price.
*The artwork will be photographed after the Donor Party and displayed on our website and Facebook. You will also be listed on our Donor page on the website and Facebook with a link to your site, if you have one.
