Hey, I am Mireille. I live in Germany and try my best to write all the stuff on flickr in English.
*update My English is much better now and writing a story for the pics doesn't take me 40 Minutes anymore. ;)
I study Technical Communication at the RWTH in Aachen. My two main subjects are Computer Science and Communication Studies.
I have two cams. The big and the small one. ;)
*update I got a third cam in May 2010. It's a Sony DSC-R1. It's the cam I mostly use at the moment.
With the Canon 400D I'm trying to be the master of the manual mode for one year now. First I borrowed Barrys 400D and then got my own one for christmas. If I just need a small cam I take my pictures with my Canon IXUS 75, which I got the year before for christmas. ;)
*update I still take most of my pictures in manual mode.
I like to take pictures of landscapes and with my new Sigma 10-20mm lens it makes this even more fun. The lens I previously used for most of my pictures is a Sigma 24-70mm (*update This lens doesn't work anymore. It gets stuck while trying to focus. I really liked it) and some are also taken with a Sigma 70-200mm. They are not all my lenses but my boyfriend Barry is keen to lend them to me whenever I need them.
I also like macro photography. The little Ugly Crew is always happy enough to be a good subject for this style, otherwise I go off hunting down some nice nature subjects like flowers and animals which also interests me. (*update Lol, I take way to less nature shots where non of the Uglies is involved.)

"Mireille may only have had the controls of her 400D since late 2008, but by hell she's learned fast how to frame her shots and produce great end results.
You may be able to tell from the first images Mireille has added to her flickr account, she has something crazy going on regarding sheep - everytime she's in Scotland she is already trying to think up cunning and devious plans on how to be able to sneak a small lamb into her bag so that she can bring it back to Germany with her.
