Hello! I’m Miranda. I’m smitten with and fascinated by words.

I’m 32 and a college English professor (I teach primarily composition/rhetoric courses). I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in English Literature.

I’m also a writer (you can see my writing portfolio here). I’ve written for a number of sites and publications and hope to continue doing so.

I’m currently doing research on a few topics, including the negative effects of childhood religious indoctrination and the most effective strategies to promote critical thinking and evidence-based argument in the composition classroom and beyond.
