Inspired by the Shambhala Art teachings of the Tibetan meditation master and artist Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, l have been working for 27 years with these very sane and unique artisitic principles to allow direct perception, direct seeing, to find expression in the medium of photography. Miksang, a contemplative approach to photography, presents methods of joining eye and mind in the moment of seeing, so that perception is free from pre-conceived ideas and therefore direct and unfabricated.

Miksang Courses are designed to allow us to explore our ordinary everyday visual world in a fresh way and express these perceptions in a clear and genuine way using the medium of photography.

I have been teaching Miksang Workshops for the last 23 years and currently splits his time between Canada and the US.
