Here I am. So if you're looking for me, you're in the right place.

Originally from the great northwest, I was adopted by San Francisco a couple years ago. I never planned to stay, but this city obviously had other plans for me. A microbiologist by trade and a bit of an artist at heart (OK, so I'm a microbiologist at heart, too - I love my bacteria more than my children [OK, I have no children, so that's easy to say...]) I started this whole photography experiment in early 2010, looking to get back into something sort of artistic. In my brief time in this world, I've learned a lot, gotten a few shots I really like, gotten many times more shots I really don't like, and realized how much more I have to learn... So come on in, follow along this whole strange learning experience, if you'd like. I'd love to hear your feedback, tell me what you like, and more importantly, what you hate about my photos, don't be shy. :) And if you're in the Bay Area, I'm always up for a wander around town and some photography.

Now if I could just figure out how to get my bacteria to pose... might need a better lens to capture that one, though.
