Thanks for visiting my profile here on Flickr. My name's Mike and I am a qualified and professional Illustrator.

Over the years I have worked in a variety of art styles. I am experienced in pencil drawn designs, three-dimensional miniatures, photography, Stop-Motion animation and digital painting. My experiments with these individual methods have collaborated to form my current visual style. I have a passion for detail and enjoy capturing texture, contrast and realistic lighting effects; therefore my work tends to be quite atmospheric.

I am interested primarily in artwork for film, video games or book illustration. I find creating imaginary worlds full of creative characters incredibly exciting and thought provoking. However despite my interest in fictitious creatures I like to harness a sense of realism, narrative and history within my designs. I try to balance my work on the divide between plausibility and fantasy.
