Greetings from Southsea, in Hampshire UK. I'm back here again after my second stint of lliving on the Isle of Wight. I live right opposite the beach and can watch all sorts of ships coming into Portsmouth (navy vessels, cross-Channel ferries, fruit carriers) and Southampton (cruise liners, car transporters, container ships and more) from the comfort of my living room.

I have many pictures I'll put up here in bits and pieces, but I'm primarily:
a musician
(listen to tracks here, buy them if you like!)
and also a Reiki Master Practitioner.

Having sold a house and had some money come from that, I treated myself to a Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens as a reasonable affordable amateur choice. I also acquired a 55-200mm lens for it on eBay and have been giving it a workout.

For years I used a Pentax Auto 110 with a whole bunch of lenses and bits, which probably counts as a quirky choice of camera, but it can do quite interesting things...I couldn't get films for it very easily in the UK, nor get them developed, so in October 2008 it went on eBay to a guy in Hong Kong who was very happy with it. I used to have a Praktica SLR with 3 lenses back in the 80s, but that was stolen in a burglary.

I will take a picture with anything which comes to hand, including my mobile phone, just because it's there. I know the resolution isn't brilliant, but the moment is the moment...
