Hi I'm Brian! I got my first digital point-and-shoot in 2005 for my use in the Michigan Marching Band (because it fit in my pocket) which was something I was involved with for four years. In 2007 I jumped into the DSLR world and I've never looked back. I went to school for engineering but sometimes I wonder if that was the right choice to make. Sure I make a living with my degree but shouldn't I enjoy it too? Photography is the Gretel to my Hansel which keeps me creating, imagining, and downright sane.

In 2009 I was asked if I shoot weddings and despite not having any sort of portfolio or anything, I ended up getting hired! Talk about trust! Since then I've come into my own and started a side photography business which has allowed me to upgrade my equipment substantially (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) to bless others with a truly God-given talent.

I'm now learning to balance between paid-work with people and unpaid work with nature. I find that in the non-human times, this verse is truer than ever for me: "From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God."

There's getting to be a lot of crap on Flickr and I hope that each of my shots provide a nice break from it all.

Geotagging rocks. Check out my map!
