I was introduced to photography when I was 11 or 12 years old. A long standing family friend gave me a manual pentax camera (I cannot remember which one!), but I started learning the basics about aperture and shutter speeds. We went out from time to time to take pictures but the older I got the less time I had for it.

It wasn't really until my 28th birthday that I got my first digital SLR. I got a D3000 which is a pretty decent entry level camera. I had to relearn the stuff I'd forgotten but I loved having a DSLR and was using it regularly.

I upgraded to the D90 because it gives you a bit more control over things, makes some of the 'adjustment' buttons more accessable and it auto-focuses my prime lens!
