"non è semplice fotografare il Tango,
    quello delle milonghe
    quello che non si ferma
    e si mette in posa

occorre averlo dentro, il Tango. per fermarlo in uno scatto, nell'attimo
in cui sono passi musica e passione."

"My name is Andre Ricardo and I feel inspired to write a comment about the amazing portfolio of MicMac71.

I'm an artist, a writer, and an educator. I and some other talent "dreamers" have started our own multi-media production company. As an artist for over 30 years, I've had my works exhibited from Rhode Island to the Islands of The Bahamas and a few stops in between, so I've been exposed to many artists over the years.

MicMac71 is by far one of the most unique and exciting artist that has come around in many years. His work, photography, primarily captures the subject of Tango/ Ballroom dancing. This is not easy, considering MicMac71 is literally competing with millions of professional and amateur photographers vying for your and my attention. The caliber of this work is par-excellent.

MicMac71 doesn't stoop to the exploitative and inflammatory subjects to make his statement. He doesn't need it. His vision, clearly seen, is to present people doing-what-they-love-doing. But, it's more than that. Anyone can set up a tripod and click picture-perfect compositions. That doesn't mean you can tell stories and expose honest emotion. MicMac's got it. He understands. His camera is not some toy that's just a momentary fascination. The people are real. The moments he captures are rich. It is a celebration of life. And, it is most explicitly seen in the eyes of his subjects. This is not "staged." No, there's a natural intimacy that reminds me of the connection between Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting in Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet." Tango is the vehicle to MicMac71 as the stage is to Shakespeare.

Please take time to take a look at what he's doing and where he's going, because he/they are painting a masterpiece. And, we have an opportunity to share, in this moment, our best wishes for a work that is nothing short of divine."
