Michelle Sypult (Galinis)'s photostream

I am an artist with a fine art background but have concentrated on graphic design for a little more than 10 years now. Being creative is a passion of mine; I live to create and create to live.

Photography has been an ongoing hobby of mine. I started shooting with an old Minolta Hi-Matic AF2 point and shoot camera in high school. I signed up to be the student life editor my senior year in high school which just started to touch upon photography and design. But when I decided to take photography classes in college and that's when I was hooked.

My grandfather owned portrait studio when I was young and gave me his beautiful Minolta SRT-102 manual camera when I started my photography classes. I fell in love with this camera. This beautiful camera is solid and sleek, it does not disappoint. It is simple and elegant and I found I began to feel very in control of my photographs from that point forward.

Of course now, I have moved on to digital but still have a soft spot for film. I do not think I can walk through life with out looking and wondering what things would look like from behind the lens.
