this flickr web is designed to present the work of a keen amateur photographer, michal sarapatka, born in the former czechoslovakia. he tries to see beyond our daily realities not necessarily through pink glasses, but through his nikon FE 10, sony digital DSC S85, finepix 9600 camera.

in his still short life, he had the chance to reflect upon social upheaval in indonesia, beauties of prague and his current place of university studies - london.

he accommodates the style of henri cartier bresson and dorothy lange, "putting his camera around neck along with putting on shoes - an appendage of body that shares life with you. the camera is an intrument that teaches people how to see without a camera" (lange).
