Photography was a passion of mine in 8th grade and a few years into High School. I learned what I could, I used my Minolta, and I had fun. I got pretty decent and dominated my school's "Literary Magazine" submissions. I had more photos featured than anyone else who submitted by at least 3 to 1 including both front and back covers. I was proud of myself.

Then I seemed to take a break.

My camera was old and dirty and stopped functioning properly, so I threw it in a box and forgot about it. I wished I had a quality camera over the years, but never got around to saving up for one.

Then, in Oct 2008, 9 years after High School ended, I finally picked up a quality camera, digital this go 'round, and got back into the swing of things. I started photographing everything and anything I could and feel I have been producing shots I can be proud of again.

Everyday is a learning experience.

I'm trying to only post photos I'm proud of and when looking back at the shots I uploaded when I first started, I realize that I'm getting better every day. I leave the old shots up as a way to track my journey, even if I am no longer as proud of them as I was when I posted them.

I started out without any aspirations of becoming professional, but now I really think that is my goal. If I could do this for the rest of my life and make money doing it, I would die a happy man.
