I've been working with encaustic for about a year (2009) and I still have a lot to learn. I've started putting them in juried shows and selling my work. I love that it has so many levels that it responds to. I've been working mostly with dry pigment directly on the wax but I also mix my own colors and experiment with other objects. I've been using a lot of images that I've collected on my travels to parts of the world and turning them into cyanotypes in my encaustics.
