I am 57 years old and live in a small town on the North Island of New Zealand close to bays, beaches, and vineyards. I am passionate about traveling and lightweight backpacking and exploring the beauty of the natural world. Hiking in wild places carrying a tent and a few days of food is my idea of having fun. The more remote and unknown a place is the more it fascinates me. Using Flickr allows me to see wonderful places where I may never have a chance to go and also share my own travels.
